We have recently changed this tab to include other flying family’s links! Since starting our blog we have met our initial goal: share our love of aviation, tips and real stories about airport destinations with others! We have been so excited to find other families that share their experiences.
Below is a list of Organizations we belong to that support General Aviation and Pilots:
AOPA – Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association. AOPA is one of those fundamental organizations that advocate for rights of general aviation pilots. They Host annual fly-ins across the United States and promote education online and with local events. The Also offer online flight planning tools.
Washington Pilots Association: is our local flying association. They host flying events every weekend, offers scholarships, protects our local airports, and help found the Washington Passport program.
Idaho Aviation Association: Our neighbor state to the east has a fabulous website for its members. They offer borrow a bike program, stuck and stay program, scholarships, and info on the back country.
WAI- Women in Aviation International. WAI is an international organization that supports women and men in all fields of aviation. There are numerous local chapters that participate in social and educational events for the community. The Northwest Aviation Chapter is the local chapter Mama Pilot is a member of. WAI has 2 major events every year; The Women in Aviation Conference and the Girls in Aviation day.
99’s- The 99’s is an organization of women who wanted to provide a place for mutual support and promote the advancement of aviation. Similar to WAI, the 99’s also promote social and education camaraderie with local chapters and events.
